Blurry Bush and Mosaic Cocks.

So, I never really understood the concept of censoring porn. What is the point of it? Does it make it any less explicit than it already is? Do they get to sell porn at a G rating if it is censored? Why do they blur out the actor’s privates (or publics in this case) when we know what is really going on! They’re not erasing it (which would make a hell of a comedy if they did) so we still see the mosaic-fied penis or vagina. Just that it’s not as clear as the actor’s faces.

Come on, we all know she’s not gonna be mistaken for doing anything else other than sucking a dick when her head is in between the legs of a guy and her head is going in a back and forth motion, mouth open wide, one hand on her tit (which they surprisingly don’t bother censoring) and while all this is going on the dude is grunting or giving words of encouragement. What else could she be doing? Brushing her teeth? (I’m talking about the regular brushing of the teeth, not with that sort of toothpaste mind you).

Or how about when the girl is on the bed on her knees and the guy is pounding away at her from behind. And they show a close up shot. A frickin’ close up shot. With their privates censored. It’s like looking at tiles on the floor and listening to the sounds of people having sex. For chrissakes! We know he’s not telling her a bedtime story or helping her with her to tie her shoes.

If anything needs censoring– wait, nothing needs censoring. People choose to watch porn! It’s not like they’re forced into downloading a 750mb video and made to sit through the whole thing. In fact movies in our cinemas don’t need censoring either. Why the hell do we have ratings when everything is cut up anyway? If kids are watching movies they shouldn’t be watching, blame the parents! Why make the adults who are allowed to enjoy such things suffer the consequences?

The Plan/ The Tuesday Text/ The Gig #37(?)

Since time is of the essence and I don’t have that much free time during weekdays, and I have so many things I want to do, I decided that I should split my time up wisely. And stick to my plans.

On Monday I’ll be working on pictures. This includes drawing/painting and whatever. Basically stuff I can post up on DA.
On Tuesday, I’ll be writing! Be it blog posts or song lyrics, anything to do with text.
And Wednesdays will be for the guitar. I won’t go online and just spend time practising, or writing new music.

And the rest of the week is up to me to do whatever I want. Yeah. I’ve been following my plan since yesterday, so hopefully I’ll see it through (til at least the end of the year) and hopefully it makes me a better person. Haha. So, expect weekly updates on this blog on Tuesdays! Or if I’m not blogging, at least you know I’m busy writing a new song.

And so for today’s post!
*digs up saved message on phone*

One thing I don’t like about movies is how the bad guys always manage to call up the good guys on the phone. Seriously. And not only that, they manage to call the house phone! It’s like they expect them to sit around at home all day to wait for their call.

I mean, how realistic is that? And it’s the same vice versa (if the good guys manage to get hold of the bad guy’s number). This happens in countless of movies, especially when there’s a kidnapping going on and the bad guys are calling to demand a ransom.

I guess it would be stupid if the bad guy called and nobody answered. What would happen then? Kill the hostage? If the bad guys kill their hostage, they don’t get to demand anything. They went through the trouble of kidnapping someone just to kill them and not gain anything in the process. Nice. Then again, waiting around for them to pick up the phone doesn’t progress the story either.

This needs to change!

Another random observation I made. In Sungei Wang, the Chinese girls want to dress up like Japanese girls, the Malay girls want to dress up like Chinese girls, and all the Japanese girls are nowhere to be found in Sungei Wang. What a confusing place to be.

And tomorrow I might be performing at Artista @ Tropicana City Mall again (depending on what time I get off from work). I’ll keep my twitter updated 😀

Date: Wednesday, 18 November 2009
Time: 9.30pm til late
Venue: Artista @ Tropicana City Mall

Either way if I’m not playing, come check out the other awesome acts. I only know An Honest Mistake, haven’t heard of the rest of them before haha. But it’s free indie music. So yeah, come check it out if you have nothing better to do 😀

Gig #36

I should be asleep, but fuck it. I’ll go to sleep after this post. Haha. Anyway gig details!

Date: Wednesday, 11 November 2009
Time: 9.30pm til late
Venue: Artista @ Tropicana City Mall

Follow the link for more details.

It’s been awhile since I’ve played a doppelganger gig, and if you guys have been coming to my shows from the start, you could say doppelganger was how I started out and it’s great to be playing for Jasmine again. It’s been way too long! Anyway since this event is gonna be weekly, and it is close to my office, I might be playing here quite frequently 🙂 Hope to see you guys there!

An unexpected win. Gig #35

A bag full of Loreal goodies and a polo T-shirt sits next to me, undeservedly. A prize I got for making it through the first heats of Library’s Got Talent. Yes, I made it through. But it wasn’t a walk in the park.

It was a real wake up call. Even I found it hard to believe that there were people out there who thought AMDW was boring. Yeah, I know I’ve only played it to a handful of people, but I’ve received nothing but praise for that song, and today was the first time ever I’ve been burnt for it. I guess there’s a first time for everything. I’m not saying I wrote the best song in the world, but it’s one of the stronger songs I’ve written. Time to improve.

After the 3 Xs, I was ready to go home without any consolation. But I’m so glad I got a second chance at this competition. Thanks to everybody who came to support me. Without you guys, tonight would have been the total failure I thought it would be. I’ll try harder for the quarter finals. See you guys in December!

Oh, and tomorrow night (if work permits) I’ll be playing at the open mic in Groove Junction which starts at 9pm. Come and enjoy the show! This time I guarantee there won’t be any Xs to throw me off the stage 😛
